Many states across the country have information and education programs to promote palliative care among health care providers and the public, the majority of which are required through legislation. Most often featured on state public health websites, these programs are designed to inform providers and consumers about palliative care for individuals with serious illnesses. The states’ websites provide an overview of palliative care, identify the benefits of palliative care delivery, explain options to access palliative care in the state, and link to additional resources.
