About Joe Flores
Joe Flores was appointed by Governor Terence R. McAuliffe as Deputy Secretary of Health and Human Resources. In this role, Mr. Flores provides policy and administrative direction to state agencies within the Health and Human Resources Secretariat. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Flores was an analyst for the Senate Finance Committee since 2002, where he is responsible for the breadth of fiscal policy issues in health and human resources. As a non-partisan analyst, he is a resource to senators, agency officials, advocacy groups and the public on issues such as Medicaid, welfare, behavioral health, children and adult services.
