About Emily Brostek
Emily Brostek is the digital media manager for the National Academy for State Health Policy. In this role, she leads NASHP’s digital communications strategy, finding innovative ways to reach and engage audiences through social media, the NASHP website, and other channels.
Emily has over 15 years of experience in health communication, policy, and health education. Before joining NASHP, Emily was a senior content manager at CommunicateHealth, where she led content strategy and digital communications for clients including the National Eye Institute, the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, and the CDC Foundation. She also served as executive director for Consumers for Affordable Health Care, setting the organization’s policy priorities as well as leading marketing and outreach activities, strategic communications, and public relations.
Emily has a Master of Public Health from the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health and is a certified health education specialist.
