Charles Townley, Policy Analyst

Charles Townley joined NASHP in January 2011. He primarily works on advanced primary care projects, including medical homes and ACA Section 2703 health homes. Charles graduated from Boston University in May 2007, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and philosophy. Prior to joining NASHP, Charles gained three years of legislative experience working on both sides of the aisle in the Massachusetts General Court. During this time, he served as a legislative aide and then as a research analyst for the Joint Committee on Public Health. As committee staff, Charles worked on a wide array of policy issues, including: patient safety; health care quality; malpractice and liability reform; controlled substances; disease prevention; and health education.
