Lela Shimaka joined NASHP in 2010 as a Program Assistant with the State Refor(u)m project. Working on State Refor(u)m, she will advance the work of the team by offering administrative and program support. Prior to joining NASHP, Lela did programming and administrative work with a federal government agency that centered on coordinating government legislators, officials and employees with the best training opportunities available. Lela earned her Bachelor of Art in Public Health with a minor in Entrepreneurship and Management from Johns Hopkins University in May 2010.
