Ellen Hobby joined NASHP in September 2008. Ellen has worked in the nonprofit industry since 1986 and has served as an association or nonprofit financial and administrative executive since 1991. She has been responsible for finance and accounting, investment management, information technology, office administration and human resources. Ellen has held positions on conference planning committees for both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), and is currently serving on the Audit and Finance Committee for the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). She has also taught finance and human resource related sessions at AICPA conferences, ASAE conferences, and for various association members and staff. Ellen has her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland system, she is a certified public accountant (CPA) in the state of Maryland, and holds ASAE's certified association executive (CAE) credential.
