Kitty Purington joined NASHP in January 2009. Her work involves mental health and the ABCD project. She has a background in mental health policy, and was most recently the director of government and regulatory affairs at Community Counseling Center in Portland, Maine. Kitty previously worked at the state’s Mental Health Provider Association as a policy analyst, and with the state’s NAMI affiliate on mental health advocacy and managed care. She has also worked as an attorney focusing on elder law, disability, and health-related issues. She has a J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law, and a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
