State CHIP Fact Sheets
State CHIP Programs in 2010
These Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) fact sheets provide key information regarding state CHIP programs after the enactment of the Children’s Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act (CHIPRA) and before most implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) began. NASHP derived data from state CHIP directors. These fact sheets include general information about the CHIP programs in each state, as well as information on income eligibility limits, enrollment, efforts for simplifying enrollment and renewal, cost sharing, and benefits. They also highlight the effects that ACA provisions will have on CHIP.
State CHIP Programs in 2008
These CHIP fact sheets provide a baseline snapshot of state CHIP programs before the enactment of the CHIPRA and ACA. NASHP derived most of the data for these fact sheets from responses to our fourth comprehensive CHIP survey taken in 2008. These fact sheets also highlight the effects that ACA provisions will have on CHIP.
