Michael Scandrett

Michael Scandrett is Policy Director for Halleland Health Consulting.  Michael’s career has been devoted to health policy, improving access for the uninsured and health care reform.  His clients include state and local governments, commissions, private sector coalitions and safety net providers.  Past positions include attorney for the Minnesota Senate, executive director of the Minnesota Health Care Commission, director of a state health plan association and leader of coalitions on mental health reform, cost containment, disability services and health care access.  In 2009 Michael led the coalition whose efforts resulted in Minnesota’s legislation to establish a mid-level dental professional to improve access for the underserved.
