Catherine Ivy works with the Georgia Department of Community Health’s Medicaid Division as Director of the Long Term Care Section. In that capacity, she is responsible for the policy development and oversight of Georgia’s long term care programs including the Medicaid waiver programs, nursing homes, community mental health services, home health, hospice services, psychiatric residential treatment facilities, and the Money Follows the Person demonstration grant. Ms. Ivy has worked in the field of aging and disability services for twenty years, specifically in care management, homecare, service planning, and policy development. Before joining the Department of Community Health, she administered a multi-program Care Management Department for Visiting Nurse of Metropolitan Atlanta that provided geriatric services through a variety of funding sources. She has also worked with the Area Agency on Aging in Atlanta and with the Fuqua Center for Late Life Depression of Emory University.
