Deborah Peikes (Ph.D., M.P.A., Public Policy, Princeton University), a senior researcher at Mathematica Policy Research, is an expert in designing and evaluating care coordination and medical home programs. Dr. Peikes is the lead author of the final report to congress on the 15-site Medicare Coordinated Care Demonstration and a recent publication in JAMA. Her ongoing work seeks to identify the keys to success in terms of both the ideal target population and critical intervention features. In the medical home arena, she directed a project advising CMS on the design of the Medicare Medical Home Demonstration and leads a team that consults with UnitedHeatlh Group on its medical home initiatives. Dr. Peikes also teaches a graduate class on program evaluation at Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.
