Jacqueline Scott, Senior Program Director

Jacqueline Scott joined NASHP in 2009.  The emphasis of her health policy work is in the areas of coverage, access, disparities, and vulnerable populations.  She holds appointments at the Georgetown University Law Center and Nyack College in Washington D.C.  Before joining NASHP, Jackie spent 10 years as a senior fellow at the Harrison Institute for Public Law at Georgetown where she led their health policy team.  While at Georgetown her work focused on the legal and policy areas of public health law, children and family law, and race and gender equality. She has been previously employed as a policy advisor in the  Governor’s and Lieutenant Governor’s offices in the state of Maryland, where she advised on issues concerning community-based public health policy, women’s health, juvenile justice reform, and children, youth, and family-related matters. Jackie has served as a consultant, lecturer, and trainer for numerous academic, state, local, private and nonprofit organizations. She holds a dual BA from Georgetown University, a JD from the Georgetown University Law Center, and a masters degree in business leadership/organizational management from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown.
