Kitty Purington, Project Director
Kitty Purington is the Project Director for Maine’s Value-Based Purchasing Initiative, overseeing the development of the state’s Behavioral Health Home model as well as the implementation and expansion of its existing Health Home initiative for individuals with chronic physical health conditions. She has a background in mental health and Medicaid policy, and was previously a Policy Specialist with the National Academy for State Health Policy, where her work focused on behavioral health and evidence-based practices. Kitty served for five years as the policy analyst for Maine’s mental health provider organization, and has also worked as an attorney focusing on elder law, disability, and health-related issues. She has a J.D. from the University Of Maine School Of Law and a B.A from the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
