The Medicaid and Behavioral Health Technical Advisory Group (TAG) is supported by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), facilitated by NASHP, and convened in a monthly call. Its active and engaged membership of senior level state Medicaid, mental health, and substance abuse officials bring a high-level policy perspective to monthly discussions of topical issues in behavioral health. The purpose of the TAG is to provide a forum for discussion among state officials on policy issues at the intersection of Medicaid, mental health and substance use disorders. These calls provide a unique opportunity for state leaders to convene once a month and discuss relevant behavioral health policy developments with other state and federal officials.
